HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Although most Asian markets closed while down on March 9, the Shanghai Composite Index increased 67.22 points to close at 3,302.41 in mainland China.
The Nikkei 225 lost 180.45 points to close at 18,790.55, while the Topix Index slipped 9.08 points to close at 1,531.76 in Tokyo.
The Hang Seng Index dropped 40.95 points to close at 24,123.05 in Hong Kong, and the Straits Times Index also lost 15.08 points to end at 3,402.43 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended lower on the same day. The VN Index dipped by 5.53 points to close at 588.44, while the HNX also slipped 0.89 points to finish at 85.90 — VNS
