HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Apart from the Hang Seng Index, which added 58.19 points to end at 21,670.58 in Hong Kong, other Asian indexes ended lower on August 31.
The Nikkei 225 lost 245.84 points to end at 18,890.48 in Tokyo, and the Shanghai Composite Index fell 36.26 points to end at 3,205.99 in mainland China.
Singapore's Straits Times Index slipped 34.50 points to end at 2,935.56.
