HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index lost 284.34 points to tumble from its milestone achievement of 22,000 points, ending the day at 21,976.33 points in Hong Kong on May 5.
In China, the Shanghai Composite Index added 1.00 point, ending the day at 2,027.35 points.
The Nikkei 225 slipped by 27.62 points to finish at 14,457.51 in Tokyo, whereas the Topix Index gained 0.28 points to finish at 1,182.48 points.
The Straits Times Index edged down by 10.95 points, ending at 3,237.3 points in Singapore, while both bourses in Viet Nam faced losses. The VN Index lost 13.15 points to finish at 564.85 points in HCM City, and the HNX Index lost 2.52 points to finish at 77.36 points in the capital city. — VNS
