HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Most Asian markets ended lower on January 27.
The Nikkei 225 jumped 299.78 points to reach 17,768.30, while the Topix Index added 24.30 points to close at 1,426.38 in Tokyo.
The Straits Times Index also gained 13.68 points to end at 3,412.20 in Singapore.
On the other hand, the Hang Seng Index declined 102.62 points to close at 24,807.28 in Hong Kong, and the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China dropped 30.22 points to close at 3,351.76.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended lower on the same day. The VN Index lost 1.34 points to close at 579.30, while the HNX slipped 0.92 points to finish at 86.09. — VNS
