HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Major Asian indices closed up on April 9, with market leader Hang Seng Index jumping 707.53 points to touch 26,944.39 in Hong Kong.
The Nikkei 225 increased 147.91 points to close at 19,937.72, while the Topix Index added 5.72 points to end at 1,594.19 in Tokyo.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended higher on the same day. The VN Index added 2.80 points to close at 550.52, while the HNX also rose slightly by 0.41 points to finish at 82.37.
However, the Straits Times Index slipped 0.38 to close at 3,460.30 in Singapore. The Shanghai Composite Index decreased 37.28 points to reach 3,957.53 in mainland China. — VNS
