HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 added 295.62 points to finish at 14,337.79 and the Topix Index also edged up 19.29 points to finish at 1,169.34 in Japan on May 22.
The Hang Seng Index gained 177.24 points to end the day at 22,953.76, while the Shanghai Composite Index slipped 3.67 points to finish at 2,021.29 in mainland China.
The Straits Times Index added 3.88 points to close at 3,265.7 in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the two bourses in Viet Nam closed down on the same day. The VN Index fell by 2.15 points to close at 541.73 in HCM City, and the HNX Index lost 0.99 points to end at 75.57 in the capital city.— VN
