HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index climbed 297.48 points to end at 22,448.54 in Hong Kong, leading the Asian markets on April 1.
Meanwhile, the Nikkei 225 slipped 35.84 points to close at 14,791.99, but the Topix Index gained 161.36 points to finish at 1,204.25 in Tokyo.
The Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China also gained 14.15 points to finish at 2,047.46.
In South-East Asia, the Straits Times Index gained 14.14 points to end at 3,202.8 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam closed lower. The VN Index lost 7.72 points to finish at 583.85 in HCM City, while the HNX Index declined by 2.95 points to end at 86.49 in the capital city. — VNS
