HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Asian markets ended mixed on May 5, except for the Japan market, which closed for Children's Day.
Thus, the Nikkei 225 stayed unchanged at 19,531.63, while the Topix Index remained at 1,585.61 in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng Index lost 368.28 points to reach 27,755.54 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index dropped 181.76 points to close at 4,298.71 in mainland China.
The Strait Time Index decreased 11.51 points to end at 3,471.19 in Singapore, while the two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher.
VN Index added 7.57points to close at 552.65, and HNX Index gained 0.29 points to close at 80.23 in Viet Nam.— VNS
