HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian markets ended higher on October 6.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 250.48 points to close the day at 23,315.04, while the Shanghai Composite Index stayed unchanged at 2,357.71 in mainland China, thanks to the National Day Golden Week holiday.
The Nikkei 225 added 182.30 points to finish at 15,890.95, and the Topix Index gained 13.86 points to end the day at 1,296.40 in Japan.
The Straits Times Index added 24.53 points to close at 3,253.2 in Singapore.
Both bourses in Viet Nam ended higher. The VN index gained 2.87 points to close at 614.42, and the HNX edged up 0.61 points to finish at 90.93. — VNS
