Asian markets end higher but Singapore

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The major Asian indexes ended higher on July 14 with the exception of Singapore where the Straits Times Index slipped 2.75 points to stand at 3,291.0.

The Nikkei 225 climbed 132.78 points to end at 15,296.82 in Tokyo, and the Topix Index also gained 10.27 points to close the day at 1,265.46 .

The Hang Seng Index added 113.22 points to reach 23,346.67 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 19.69 points to finish at 2,066.65 in mainland China.

The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended higher. The VN Index rose 3.46 points to close at 586.23 in HCM City, and the HNX Index gained 0.87 points to end at 79.49 in the capital city.  — VNS
