Asian markets dip, but Viet Nam up

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Investors across Asia faced losses on March 14, with the exception of their counterparts in Vietnam.

The Nikkei 225 lost 488.32 points to finish at 14,327.66 and the Topix Index slipped 38.76 points, closing at 1,164.70 points in Tokyo.

The Hang Seng Index also lost 216.59 points to end at 21,539.49 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index in mainland China dropped 14.77 points to close at 2,004.34. The Straits Times Index fell 7.67 points to finish at 3,073.7 points in Singapore.

On the other hand, the VN Index added 1.61 points to reach 596.83 in HCM City, and the HNX Index also gained 0.29 points to close at 84.43 points in the capital city of Viet Nam. — VNS
