HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian indices reported mixed closings on February 17, even as the two bourses in Viet Nam remained closed for the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Hang Seng Index increased by 62.90 points to reach 24,789.43 in Hong Kong, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 24.54 points to close at 3,246.91 in mainland China.
On the other hand, the Nikkei 225 slipped 17,68 to close at 17,987.09, while the Topix Index rose by 2.64 points to close at 1,462.07 in Tokyo.
The Strait Times Index lost 14.15 points to end at 3,413.01 in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the VN Index stayed unchanged at 587.24, while the HNX had closed last week at 85.26. — VNS
