HA NOI (Biz Hub) – Japan and Hong Kong shares recorded a slight rise, though other Asian indexes declined on Friday.
The Nikkei 225 closed 61.29 points higher at 15,403.11, while the Hang Seng Index added 27.84 points to reach 23,245.96 and the Straits Times Index (STI) rose 7.30 points to finish at 3,066.30.
Also in Japan, the Topix Index (TPX) dropped 3.35 points to finish at 1,238.88, while the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP) slipped 6.72 points to finish at 2,196.08 in China.
In the local market, the VN Index remained flat, slipping 0.86 points to finish at 506.06 in HCM City, and the Ha Noi HNX Index added 0.25 points to end at 66.22 in the capital city. — VNS
