HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Hang Seng Index rose 61.52 points to reach 23,306.39, leading Asian market on Tuesday when the Shanghai Composite Index edged up 18.45 points to finish at 2,115.98 on mainland China.
The Straits Times Index rose 14.14 points to end at 3,167.4 in Singapore. Two bourses in Vietnam also ended higher. The VN Index gained 4.28 points to hit 504.63, and the HNX Index added 0.89 points to end at 67.84 in the capital city.
Off for the holiday, the The Nikkei 225 kept its best annual performance in over four decades at 16,291.31 in Tokyo.— VNS
