HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian indices ended higher on March 20, except the Hang Seng Index, which lost 93.65 points to close at 24,375.24 in Hong Kong.
The Nikkei 225 added 83.66 points to close at 19,560.22, while the Topix Index also gained 4.70 points to close at 1,580.51 in Tokyo.
The Shanghai Composite Index also jumped 35.05 points to close at 3,617.32 in mainland China.
The Straits Times Index rose 26.28 points to end at 3,412.44 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam closed up on the same day. The VN Index gained 1.70 points to close at 575.44, while the HNX also increased 0.53 points to finish at 85.13. —VNS
