HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian indices ended on a mixed note on March 12.
The Nikkei 225 jumped 267.59 points to close at 18,991.11, while the Topix Index gained 20.96 points to close at 1,546.63 in Tokyo.
Also trending up, the Shanghai Composite Index increased 58.42 points to close at 3,349.32 in mainland China. The Hang Seng Index edged up 79.99 points to close at 23,797.96 in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the Straits Times Index lost 4.49 points to end at 3,373.60 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended on a mixed note on the same day. While the VN Index added 1.99 points to close at 588.53, the HNX slipped 0.14 points to finish at 85.87. —VNS
