HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Hang Seng Index gained 48.18 points to reach 24,648.26 in Hong Kong on August 5.
The Straits Times Index also increased by 8.65 points to end the day at 3,327.1 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher. The VN index gained 8.69 points to close at 607.73 and the HNX added 0.59 points to reach 80.12 in the capital city.
However, the Nikkei 225 lost 154.19 points to end at 15,320.31 and the Topix Index slipped 12.66 points to end the day at 1,263.53 . The Shanghai Composite Index also lost 3.39 points to finish at 2,219.95 in mainland China. — VNS
