HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Nikkei 225 added 72.58 points to stand at 15,232.37 and the Topix Index gained 6.83 points to end the day at 1,258.12 in Tokyo on August 7.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong, however, lost 196.57 points to close at 24,387.56, while the Shanghai Composite Index also fell 29.80 points to finish at 2,187.67 in mainland China.
The Straits Times Index slipped 6.01 points to end the day at 3,314.22 in Singapore.
The two bourses in Viet Nam ended higher. The VN Index rose by 0.92 points to close at 607.62, and the HNX added 0.38 points to reach 80.78 in the capital city. — VNS
