Japan bucks declining trend in Asian markets

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Most major indices across the Asia-Pacific region fell on October 27 with the exception of Japan.

The Nikkei 225 added 97.08 points to finish at 15,388.72, and the Topix Index increased by 11.96 points to end at 1,254.28.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index lost by 158.97 points to close at 23,143.23 while in mainland China, the Shanghai Composite Index declined by 11.84 points to close at 2,290.44.

In Singapore, the Straits Times Index added 0.41 points to end at 3,222.96.

In Viet Nam, the VN index likewise fell by 10.71 points to close at 580.80, and the HNX declined by 2.67 points to finish at 84.38. —  VNS
