The Viet Nam Blockchain Summit 2018 will take place on June 8 in Ha Noi.

The summit will have the theme ‘From technology to policy’.

Nguyen Thanh Hung, chairman of the Viet Nam E-commerce Association, said that the purpose of the forum is to share information and discuss policy, promoting research and application of blockchain technology in the digital economy development strategy.

This will be the largest annual event in Viet Nam in building policy and legislation on blockchain technology in economic activity.

Nguyen Huu Tuan, representative of the Viet Nam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that, together with automation technologies, artificial intelligence, robots and Internet of Things, blockchain technology will contribute significantly to developing the digital economy and the fourth industrial revolution.

A prominent application of blockchain technology is in pre-coded currency, which has received interest from many agencies, enterprises and the media in recent years, said Tuan.
