HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Vietstock 2014 Expo will be held in HCM City's Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre from October 15 to 17, showcasing solutions, equipment and technology for improving livestock production.

Over 250 exhibitors from 30 countries and territories, including the US, the UK, Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan and China, will take part in the event.

Being held with the theme "Restructuring the Livestock Industry For Sustainable Development," Vietstock 2014 will be an opportunity for local and foreign enterprises to exchange and co-operate with each other to develop the animal husbandry industry.

During the event, awards will be given to enterprises that have achieved excellent results in the management and development of livestock, poultry, egg production, feed production and sale of livestock products. There will be conferences discussing major issues of the livestock industry, including prospects of the meat processing industry in Viet Nam; opportunities and challenges for the domestic livestock industry when Vietnam signs the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement; animal health; the effective monitoring processes for import and export of animal feed; and materials to minimise the use of antibiotics in animal feed. — VNS
