HA NOI (Biz Hub) -- The 7th International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation – Vietship 2014 - will take place from February 26-28, next year at the National Convention Centre (NCC) in Ha Noi.
The Vietship 2014 exhibition is the largest event specializing in shipbuilding, marine and transportation in Viet Nam, with 300 exhibitors gathered in an area of more than 10,000 sqm, along with the participation of hundreds of exhibitors from nearly 20 countries.
Vietship 2014 is the gathering place for manufacturers and trading enterprises representing many leading brands from countries throughout the world, as well as nearly all Vietnamese ship owners and shipyards.
As many as 10,000 guests are expected to visit the event.
After 12 years of sponsoring six consecutive successful exhibitions, Vietship has become an important player in enhancing co-operation and development, attracting investments, exchanging technology and creating ideal opportunities for trade promotion in the industry. Vietship became the must-attend event of the shipbuilding and marine industry, domestically, regionally and internationally.
In addition, international conferences will be organised during the event. It is expected to be a useful forum for managers and policy makers, experts, and national and oversea businesses to discuss science, technology, policy and strategies for development of the maritime and shipbuilding industries.
The exhibition was first held in 2002, with the aim of gathering in one place company presidents, general directors, managers, and experts from the shipbuilding and maritime industries around the world.
Vietship is held every two years and organised by Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin). The seventh exhibition will be held by the Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC), which has been established to take charge of restructuring of Vinashin and its members.
The exhibition will display a wide range of shipbuilding, ship repair and maintenance technology; materials and equipment for shipbuilding; equipment and facilities for shipyards; offshore facilities; waterway transportation and services; and other services, including design, classification, insurance, finance, consultancy, and training.
