Indian business chamber to host seminar on trade, investment


The Indian Business Chamber in Viet Nam is set to organise a seminar on the outlook for India – Việt Nam trade and investment in HCM City on November 2.

The Indian Business Chamber in Viet Nam is set to organise a seminar on the outlook for India – Viet Nam trade and investment in HCM City on November 2.

‘Business Outlook Seminar Series India – Viet Nam Trade and Investments’ will be attended by Indian officials in Viet Nam, Vietnamese officials, executives from Incham’s member companies, and foreign business groups.

Keynote speakers will include Madan Mohan Sethi, the Indian consul general in the city, Kamal Malhotra, UN Resident Coordinator in Viet Nam, Tran Thi Hai Yen, director of the Investment Promotion Centre in the South, Nguyen Thanh Binh, director of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry - HCM City’s Trade Information Centre, Nguyen Xuan Huy, professor of geology and petroleum engineering at HCM University of Technology, and several Indian business executives based in Viet Nam.

Business executives and officials will also take part in the seminar via Zoom from India.

The issues on the agenda include Viet Nam-India trade and Investment relationship: status and outlook; preserving the past and fortifying the future: Current situation, perspectives from the India, Viet Nam and international business communities in Viet Nam; investment opportunities in Viet Nam for Indians; and Viet Nam's renewable energy: opportunities and challenges.

A UN assessment of the economic impact of COVID-19 on Viet Nam will be presented at the event.
