Fifteen Vietnamese and international auto brands, including Vinfast for the first time, will take part in the 2019 Vietnam Motor Show in HCM City in October this year.
Organisers said they include Audi, Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, and Volvo.
There will also be many brands from supporting industries, service companies, car care, insurance and financial support services.
The 20,000sq.m expo will have indoor and outdoor spaces, and is expected to attract 200,000 visitors who will come to see new models and state-of-the-art technologies and test drive vehicles.
The event this year is expected to create a breakthrough, with 100 vehicles displayed and 150 shows organised at booths, the organisers said.
Toru Kinoshita, president of the Viet Nam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), said: “In future along with the stable economic growth and large population of Viet Nam, the market is forecast to continue expanding. To prepare for that, each and every brand needs to strive for modernisation and transformation in all aspects to meet new trends in consumption.”

With the use of technology and enhancing interaction with visitors, the show is expected to be a big occasion for car lovers across the country.

The Vietnam Motor Show, to be held from October 23 to 27 at Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre , will be organised by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Asociation, Vehicles Importers Vietnam Association, CIS Vietnam and Le Bros Alliance. — VNS
