On display will be equipment, technologies, and solutions for the TV, media, and communications industries.

Telefilm 2014, as it is called, will see 300 booths set up by exhibitors from 15 countries and territories, including France, Canada, Denmark, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, India, China, Hongkong, Taiwan, and the host country.

VTV, TVAd, HTV Ha Noi, HTV HCM, and over 50 other TV stations and media companies like Cat Tien Sa, BHD, Multi media, TNS, and Lasta will be among the local exhibitors to take part.

Organised by Viet Nam Televison and the ADPEX Joint Stock Company, the event is aimed at providing an opportunity for Vietnamese to learn about the latest developments in the production of television programmes and films.

It will also provide opportunities for foreign firms to look for business partners in Viet Nam and promote their products.

Taipei Multimedia Production Association and 20 other firms from Taiwan, for instance, will look for Vietnamese distributors and invest in film and TV technologies in the country, according to the organisers.

Seminars on the television industry, including on methods and technologies for measuring television audiences will be held on the sidelines of the event.

The exhibition will be hosted at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7. — VNS
