HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The seventh International Water Supply, Sanitation, Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Purification Event (VIETWATER 2015) will be held in Ha Noi from November 25 to 27, 2015.
The Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEFAC), located at 148, Giang Vo Street in the capital's Dong Da district, will host the event.
The conference, jointly hosted by the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, the South East Asian Water Utilities Network and the construction ministry (MOC), hopes to create opportunities for regulators and businesses to enhance the transfer of knowledge, experiences and to seek investment and trading opportunities in the industry.
Speaking at a press conference held in Ha Noi on August 18, General Director of MOC's administration of technical infrastructure Nguyen Hong Tien said although Viet Nam has had many achievements and improvements in the water supply and sewerage system in recent years, with the majority of the citizens getting access to water, the country was still dealing with major challenges such as environment pollution and lack of clean water.
The exhibition would present advanced equipment and machines to resolve these problems, Tien said.
The annual event of the water sector will showcase the latest innovative technologies and equipments of more than 380 exhibitors from more than 35 countries and territories, such as Belgium, Japan, Singapore and Finland, as well as China, France, South Korea and Australia, besides Hungary, Taiwan and the European Union.
The event is expected to attract more than 10,000 participants, including authorities at all levels, and scientists and representatives from research institutions, universities and enterprises operating in the field of consultancy, engineering, investment and construction, as well as technology, production and water supply equipment management. — VNS
