HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The 24th Vietnam International Trade Fair or the Vietnam Expo 2014 will be held at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre in Ha Noi from April 16 to 19.

The major trade promotion event, whose theme will be, "Vietnam–Cooperation and Development," is expected to promote exports, imports and investment in Viet Nam.

Companies from more than 20 countries and territories, including Belarus, the United States, Russia, China, Japan, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cuba and Cambodia are expected to set up some 800 booths during the exhibition.

Many domestic companies, such as Hapro, Bao Minh and Phu My Hung, will also exhibit their products at the event.

The showcase will be divided into three main arenas—the International Pavilion, which will exhibit Machinery and Electronics, Beverages, where well-known brands, such as Petrovietnam, NhatLin and Propack will be present and lastly, the Textile and Consumer goods and trade promotion.

The show is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors from 45 countries and regions, as well as local businessmen looking for investment and trade exchanges.

The fair will also include activities aimed at enhancing friendship, collaboration and investment between local and foreign enterprises by holding seminars on export and trade promotions, business contract signing ceremonies, award ceremonies and conducting business tours. — VNS
