HA NOI (Biz Hub) – The Korea Viet Nam Pre-FTA Show will take place at Lotte Hotel on December 2 and 3, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Kotra), the event's organiser, announced.
During the upcoming event, more than 50 leading Korean enterprises in the sectors of ICT, textile and machinery, besides cosmetics will introduce their products, update themselves on the Vietnamese market demand and seek partnerships with domestic enterprises, it added.
The Korean government has assessed Viet Nam as a strategic partner and a potential market, said Lee Kyuseon, director general of Kotra Ha Noi. The director added that he believed the Pre-FTA show will play an active role in boosting further co-operation between the two countries.
According Kotra Ha Noi, the governments of the two countries have agreed to strive to increase the volume of bilateral trade to US$70 billion by 2020, with an aim to accelerate the process of negotiations and sign the Viet Nam – Korea free-trade agreement this year.
