The 2020 Dong Thap pangasius week in Ha Noi opened at Big C Thang Long supermarket on Friday.

This is the first time this event has been held at Big C Thang Long, and at the same time, it is also being promoted at GO! and Big C supermarkets nationwide until Sunday.

The event is co-organised by Dong Thap Department of Industry and Trade, Dong Thap Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre and Central Retail Group in Viet Nam.

More than 300 products of more than 50 enterprises, co-operatives, production and business establishments are introduced to distributors, consumers of the capital city of Ha Noi.

A representative of the provincial people's committee emphasised that they expected to introduce products to consumers in Ha Noi and nationwide through this event, helping businesses in the province learn about the tastes of consumers in the capital city, so they can produce and process products suitable to regional culinary culture.

Nguyen Thi Phuong, deputy general director of Central Retail, said that the group expected to find more new suppliers and better meet the shopping needs of consumers through the pangasius event.

The group also hoped to accompany localities to organise programmes to support businesses, co-operatives and production households to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, she said. — VNS
