Customers can take advantage of many promotions to save money during October.

For the third year in row, the October-Digital Consumer Month will be held to raise awareness of digital products and services.

The programme will run from October 1 to October 31, with a focus on the first 10 days, in celebration of National Digital Transformation Day on October 10.

The activities during Digital Consumer Month will concentrate on key pillars of the digital economy, including Information and Communication Technology (ICT), digital economy across sectors, digital governance and digital data.

The goal is to create value that serves societal needs, allowing people to benefit from promotional policies when using digital products and services.

It is expected to attract many businesses offering special deals on digital products and services to the public.

From now until October 1, departments under the Ministry of Information and Communications, including the National Digital Transformation Department, Postal Department, Digital Economy and Society Department, Telecommunications Authority, Information Security Department, ICT Industry and Communications Authority, Broadcasting and Electronic Information Authority, Publishing, Printing and Distribution Authority, National Electronic Authentication Centre, and the Việt Nam Internet Network Information Centre, will be accepting registrations from businesses seeking to participate in this incentive program.

The specific time frames for each promotional policy will be determined by the businesses but must fall within the overall schedule.

Participating businesses will publicly announce their promotional policies on their websites or applications.

As with the Digital Consumer Month held for the previous two years, the public will be able to enjoy substantial discounts, with some promotions reaching up to 50 per cent off in various sectors such as e-commerce, transportation, digital payments and other digital transformation services, depending on the policies of each business. — VNS
