More than 100 Chinese enterprises will showcase machinery, equipment and technology for the manufacturing, engineering and electronics industries at the forthcoming CA-MEXPO Viet Nam 2017 event in Ha Noi.

Slated to be held at the Ha Noi International Centre for Exhibition from June 15-17, the expo aims to facilitate the transfer of advanced technology between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in order to help them improve product quality and competitiveness in the global market, Ta Hoang Linh, deputy head of the Trade Promotion Agency, one of the event’s organisers said.

Last year, more than 180 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors participated in the exhibition, said the executive board, and they claimed it served as an effective platform to improve commercial trade between the two countries’ enterprises.

China is now Viet Nam’s leading trade partner. Last year, two-way trade experienced a yearly rise of 2.5 per cent to more than US$98 billion. — VNS
