HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The organisers of SIAL China, Asia's largest food and beverage show, invited Vietnamese entrepreneurs and associations to take part in the 16th in Shanghai from May 6 to 8.

Speaking at a conference in HCM City yesterday, Bjoern Kempe, director of SIAL Group in China, said he could not find any Vietnamese products in supermarkets in Kunming, the capital of and largest city in Yunnan Province in south-western China, or Vietnamese companies in the Chinese online retail market, the world's largest.

"Viet Nam has a very bright future in China" since the latter's top 10 food imports include dairy products, vegetable oils, livestock and poultry meat, seafood, sugar, and aquatic products, all of which are Viet Nam's strengths.— VNS
