HCM CITY (Biz Hub) —  Zalora Viet Nam has announced its biggest year-end sales campaign "Online Fever" held from December 9 to 12 with the participation of more than 50 e-commerce and retail partners.

"The first Online Fever in 2014 was a huge success for Zalora and partners with sales revenue of the last day on December 12 increasing 10 times that of a normal sales day," said Jose Finch, country managing director of Zalora Viet Nam.

"Online Fever 2015 is expected to bring that success to another level as Zalora has partnered with over 50 like-minded partners, offering more than 1,000 online deals for customers within four days," he added.

According to Finch, each participating partner has to create a landing page in order to update and promote all the deals on their website throughout the four days of the campaign.

These landing pages will create a network of online promotions and offer the greatest shopping benefits to the customers.

"We created Online Fever with the hope of having Viet Nam's first online ecosystem," he said. "We achieved an ecosystem where businesses can connect and nurture each other to grow."

Each participating partner plays a role in a bigger online ecosystem where businesses support each other by co-marketing and cross-marketing activities.

The event is also a continuation of the Viet Nam E-commerce and Information Technology Agency's (VECITA) Online Friday – the National Online Shopping Day on December 4. This year is also the second year that the Government has hosted such an online event.

Initiated by Zalora in 2014, Online Fever is an annual cyber event where not only Viet Nam but also the other seven markets of the ZALORA Group kicks off attractive deals with the hope of increasing online sales and positions on December 12, the region's new Cyber Monday.

According to VECITA, which is under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country's online B-2-C retail last year reached US$2.97 billion in revenue, accounting for 2.12 per cent of total retail.

The number is expeted to rise to $4 billion this year. — VNS
