Developer Sun Group on Friday launched Queen Cobra – Viet Nam's largest roller coaster – at its Asia Park in central Da Nang Province.

Queen Cobra will ensure visitors enjoy an exciting experience, satisfying even those who love challenges.

With a 689m track and 20 seats, Queen Cobra, inspired by India's 5m long cobra snake in Kerala, is believed to be one of the world's most thrilling rides.

Produced by Dutch Vekoma, known for installing rides for famous recreational park chains such as Walt Disney and Universal Studios, Queen Cobra will take people up till a height of 34m, followed by a freefall at a speed of up to 80km per hour. With six 360-degree loops, the Queen Cobra ride will bring an unprecedented rush of adrenalin.

Queen Cobra is the third glider produced by Vekoma at Asia Park, besides Port of Sky Treasure and Garuda Valley, bringing the total games at the park to 19.

Opening ahead of the Tết (Lunar New Year) holiday, Queen Cobra, together with other exciting rides, some of which are free during the holiday, will bring new experiences to those visiting Asia Park.

In addition, Sun Group has also opened Indo Express, a Batak Toba Indonesian style restaurant, with a seating capacity of 700.

Sun Group, with its amusement parks developed across the country, aims to boost the infrastructure system for the tourism industry. — VNS
