Vingroup is among top-ten taxpayers

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Vingroup was among the top ten biggest corporate taxpayers in the country in 2015. It was the second consecutive year the company was on the list.

The V1000 list, which names the 1000 biggest corporate taxpayers in Viet Nam, has been released annually by the Viet Nam Report Company (VNRC) and the taxation department since 2010 to honour the tax contributors.

According to the list, total corporate taxes reached VND82.3 trillion (US$3.65 billion), posting an increase of 2.3 per cent from last year and accounting for 10 per cent of the total State budget.

Of these, the top 100 corporate taxpayers contributed VND50 trillion ($2.2 billion) to the State budget and accounted for more than 60 per cent of the total.

Like in 2014, Vingroup ranked seventh on the list in 2015 and is the only private capital enterprise to figure on the top-ten list together with large State-owned enterprises.

Besides real estate, hospitality, healthcare and retail development, the group has been working in agriculture with the VinEco project that produces clean and safe vegetables with high technology to serve local markets.

Vingroup, which works in the fields of real estate and resorts, health and education, achieved outstanding business results in 2014, earning revenue of VND27.7 trillion ($1.23 billion), a year-on-year increase of 51 per cent.

The group contributed nearly VND4.166 trillion ($184.8 million), an increase of 60 per cent over 2013, to the State budget.
