With the success of traditional clay bricks made in a European supply chain, Gom Dat Viet (Vietnamese Pottery) Company set six Vietnamese records. The award ceremony took place on Sunday in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
The company set six records certified by Viet Kings – Viet Nam Book of Records, including the first enterprise in the Vietnamese baked clay industry.
The company is known for the red bricks and tiles which are used widely for hotels, resorts, villas and restaurants as well as temples and pagodas, bringing Vietnamese traditional style to the architecture. The bricks are not slippery, hollow and mossy while tiles can keep the construction warm in winter and cool in summer. The colours are well-preserved over time and in different weather conditions.
Established in 2008 on an area of 40ha in Dong Trieu Town, Gom Dat Viet Company manufactured bricks and pottery using traditional Vietnamese techniques with modern equipment. Now, its products are distributed to the whole country and exported to 51 countries and territories.
The company was founded and led by Hero of Labour Nguyen Quang Mau and Nguyen Duy Hung, former secretary of Quang Ninh Party Committee. — VNS
