HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – VietJet on January 19 announced that it will open a new flight route connecting Ha Noi and Quy Nhon to celebrate the recent expansion of the Phu Cat Airport in Quy Nhon City, central coast Binh Dinh Province.
"Quy Nhon is one of Viet Nam's best kept secrets–a place of stunning, poetic beauty with a fascinating history and wonderful, welcoming people. Tourists will love to discover this enchanting destination," said Nguyen Thanh Hung, vice chairman of the VietJet Management Board.
"Meanwhile, we hope that business and trade between Ha Noi and Quy Nhon will flourish further with the opening of this flight," he added.
The new Ha Noi–Quy Nhon route will commence operations from April 26. Tickets have been on sale since January 26, selling from VND699,000 (US$32.5).
The new flight is also part of VietJet's daily promotions, with discounted tickets available every day from 12 noon to 2pm (Viet Nam time) on www.vietjetair.com.
The flight duration is 1 hour and 35 minutes. A morning flight will depart from Ha Noi at 10.25am and land in Quy Nhon at 12 noon. In the afternoon, the flight will take off from Quy Nhon at 12.35pm and arrive in Ha Noi at 2.10pm.
The airline already has a flight linking HCM City and Quy Nhon, one of Viet Nam's up-and-coming tourist destinations. – VNS
