Vietjet is offering passengers a comprehensive insurance package Sky Care on direct flights between Viet Nam and Australia, starting from April 25.

Sky Care travel insurance is a special insurance programme designed exclusively for passengers on direct flights from Viet Nam to Australia and vice versa, Vietjet said.

Among benefits include reimbursement of medical expenses incurred due to accidents or illnesses (including COVID-19), flight-related problems (including flight delay, baggage delay, baggage loss or damage, lost travel documents), and Global Travel and Medical Support Services 24/7. The total value of insurance benefits is up to VND100 million (nearly US$4,200).

Accordingly, passengers who successfully purchase tickets and fly between Viet Nam and Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane), and vice versa, will automatically receive Sky Care travel insurance. It is applicable to all ticket classes including Eco, Deluxe, SkyBoss, and SkyBoss Business.

Passengers can look up the insurance certificate information 24 hours from the time of completing their flight at https://vietjetair.hdinsurance.com.vn/search-insurance-policy.hdi or call the hotline: (+84) 1900 068 898 for assistance checking information and live instructions, according to the airline.

With nearly nine hours of flying time on the A330 wide-body aircraft, Vietjet flights from Melbourne to HCM City will depart on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from HCM City to Melbourne will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The route connecting Sydney and HCM City will also operate three times a week in each direction, flying Sydney to HCM City on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from HCM City to Sydney.
