Vietjet has been honoured as a ‘Pioneering Airline’ in 2018 for its outstanding contribution to the development of Vietnamese tourism at a ceremony in the capital last week.
Hosted by The Guide magazine – a publication under the Vietnam Economic Times – the Guide Awards 2018 emphasises the importance of applying and investing in digital technology to encourage a creative and entrepreneurial environment in the tourism industry. That is not only a developing trend but also a breakthrough to improve the quality and competitive ability of Vietnamese tourism, Vietjet says in a statement.
“Vietjet has been co-operating with the most innovative technology solution providers to develop e-commerce, cloud infrastructure and IT applications to improve services, operation and management quality,” the airline’s vice president Do Xuan Quang said.
"Vietjet is also a pioneering airline in Viet Nam to use automatic check-in kiosks at the airports, which is a modern technology that is used effectively worldwide, helping to better control and save time for passengers," Quang said. — VNS
