Vietjet signed a deal with Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 as an official transport sponsor on Wednesday in HCM City.

Beauty queens from across Viet Nam will fly with the budget airline during the journey to find a representative for Viet Nam at Miss Universe 2019 - one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world, the carrier said in a statement.

Miss Universe Vietnam 2019’s final round will take place from November 21 to December 7, 2019 in the central coastal city of Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province. The winner of the title will be awarded one year of free flights on all Vietjet domestic routes and be invited to participate in special cultural and artistic events on Vietjet's aircraft.

In his speech at the event, Jay L Lingeswara, International Sales and Distribution Director of Vietjet, spoke highly of the competition, saying it honours Vietnamese women.

"With international format, Miss Universe Vietnam appreciates the charming beauty, confidence, bravery and intelligence of Vietnamese women," he said. — VNS
