SCG Color Roof has become the first concrete roof tile brand in Việt Nam to achieve the Singapore Green Label, SCG Concrete Roof Vietnam Co, a member company of Thai giant SCG Group has announced.

This recognition underscores the group and its business units’ commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality while fulfilling its environmental responsibility for the customers’ benefit, SCG said in a statement.

Veerayut Maneechote, General Director of SCG Concrete Roof Vietnam, said: “The attainment of the Singapore Green Label marks a new milestone as SCG is leveraging ESG initiatives to deliver higher-quality, durable, green products.

Amid growing demand to develop sustainable buildings, customers are increasingly opting for green construction and building solutions.

With a plan to develop more eco-labelled products, the company said it will reinforce its role in driving sustainability in Việt Nam's roofing industry.

The label, which is issued under the Singapore Green Labeling Scheme, is one of the most prestigious global certifications for environment and product quality.

Administered by the Singapore Environment Council since 1999, the scheme is Singapore’s leading environmental standard and certification mark, with over 3800 unique products certified across 43 countries. It aims to help the public identify environmentally preferred products that meet strict eco-standards. — VNS
