Sheraton Saigonearns international kudos for exceptional dining

The Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers has marked a significant milestone in excellence this month with all of its dining venues featuring in the top three TripAdvisor rankings.

The ranking covered more than 3,490 restaurants in HCM City.

To further enhance its high culinary reputation, the hotel has launched a series of brand-new dining programmes at four food venues:Saigon Café - international buffet restaurant; Li Bai Cantonese restaurant; The Lounge and Signature restaurants at level 23.

One highlight of the new programme is Li Bai’s divine fish menu cooked four ways. The four creations served this month are made with two kinds of iconic fish in Cantonese cuisine: garoupa and soon hock fish.

Diners will have the opportunity to discover the purest and most authentic taste of dishes like: steamed grouper with fresh dried cordyceps flowers and oyster sauce that has many nutritional values or the two-course grouper with deep fried body bathed in orange sauce; and braised fish head in clay pot “Hong Xiu” style. They can also enjoy the unique steamed soon hock fish in Hong Kong style or deep-fried with soy sauce.

The fish promotion, priced from VND 1,170,000++/kg,is available for both lunch and dinner.

Meanwhile, the Saigon Café has introduced a Mediterranean-themed buffet with specialties like sea bass Mediterranean style, Souvlaka grilled chicken cubes and French-style duck breast Bigarade, promising a lively treat for the taste buds.

The international buffet dinner, available every Monday to Thursday, is an intersection of famous Asian and Western cuisines, including flavors from the sunny Mediterranean, the colors of Japan, Hong Kong and the diversity of Southeast Asian cuisine, with an emphasis on the quintessentially Vietnamese dishes. Seven grandly decorated interactive kitchens stand ready to tickle discerning palates.

The international buffet dinner is priced at VND1,288,000++/pax including free-flow of red wine, white wine, cocktail of the day, beer, soft drink, tea and coffee.

The hotel’s lobby has also upped its culinary act with The Lounge unveiling an unprecedented afternoon tea experience called the “Seven Sins of Chocolate” to be enjoyed with friends and family in a contemporary and cozy ambiance.

The tea set also features five delicious savories: Rosette of Danish smoked salmon with boursin cheese; Mangrove crab meat canapé;Togarashi and cacao spiced chicken in corn tart; Parmesan savory choux; and air-cured black forest ham on rye bread.

Priced at VND 488,000++/set including free-flow of chocolate beverages, select tea and coffee, the afternoon tea experience is a multi-sensory culinary excursion ideal for warm gatherings.

This month also marks the return of the Signature restaurant after a two-year hiatus. The restaurant has excitedcontemporary Western cuisine lovers with two set menus and a brand new à la carte menu.

For the set menus, gastronomes can choose between two options priced at VND 1,588,000++/pax and VND 1,888,000++/pax with an additional choice of soup.

Both menus include a cold appetizer, a hot course and a main course with a highlight of Romaine lettuce salad mixed with grilled lobster meat, crab cakes, pan-seared foie gras and US beef tenderloin or cod fish, and chocolate cake for dessert.
