Samsung honoured one of “Exemplary enterprises for employees”

Samsung Vietnam was honoured for their treatment of employees at an award ceremony held in Ha Noi on Friday.

In which, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co Ltd (SEVT) was honoured to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for its outstanding achievements in taking care of life and ensuring the interests of employees. Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co Ltd (SEV) was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) for its efforts to build an ideal working environment for employees.

The award is organised by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour in co-ordination with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and VCCI, ranked annually and awarded every 3 years.

The rankings are evaluated based on a rigorous set of criteria developed by labour experts and unions.

This year's award to Samsung Vietnam is a recognition of the company's relentless commitment and efforts in investing in facilities and outstanding policies to provide employees with an ideal working environment.

Choi Joo Ho, President of Samsung Vietnam, said: “Samsung believes that in order to make the best products, employees should also work in the best environment. Therefore, in many years, we have been constantly striving to take care of employees by creating the most ideal working environment. We are really happy and proud that these efforts have been recognised by PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and encouraged by this noble certificate. In the coming time, Samsung will make endless efforts to truly become the second home of every employee and furthermore, it will become the best workplace in Viet Nam.”

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung always ensured that no employee would lose their job or take unpaid leave. In the coming time, Samsung Vietnam will continue its efforts to actively implement regulations and measures to prevent the pandemic of the Government of Viet Nam as well as Samsung Group, with the aim to concretize dual goal of ensuring the health and the safety of all employees at the same time striving to maintain production stability and to maintain export targets. — VNS
