Saigon Co.op has new chairman


Diep Dung has been elected chairman of the Sai Gon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co-op) in place of Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, who was recently appointed deputy director of the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade.

HCM CITY – Diep Dung has been elected chairman of the Sai Gon Union of Trading Co-operatives (Saigon Co-op) in place of Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, who was recently appointed deputy director of the HCM City Department of Industry and Trade.

Before moving to Saigon Co.op, Dung was a member of the city Party Committee, deputy Party committee secretary and general director of the HCM City Financial Investment Company.

He also used to be deputy general director of Tan Thuan Industrial Promotion Company.

Saigon Co.op is the biggest retailer in the country and owns Co.opmart supermarkets, Co.op food stores, Co.opXtra, Sense City commercial centre, TV shopping channel HTV Co.op, online shopping portal co.ophomeshopping, and SC Vivo City mall. — VNS
