Sacombank has won awards for Leadership in Payment Volume, Credit Payment Volume, e-Com Merchant Sales Volume Growth, Business Spend Management Solution, and being the ‘First Bank to launch Visa Direct Outbound’ in 2021 from Visa.

It is for the fifth year in a row it is winning these prestigious awards.

Since 2017, Sacombank has pioneered contactless payment technologies and QR payment based on international EMV standards to optimise utilities, improve security and shorten payment time for cardholders.

In 2020, Sacombank was the first bank in Viet Nam to deploy the Tap to Phone service that enables merchants to use their mobile phones and tablets as card terminals for contactless payments and the use of near-field communication (NFC)-enabled mobile devices to make payment for customers using the Sacombank Pay app that turns mobile phones into non-physical cards for contactless payments.

Last October, Sacombank was the first bank in the country to launch Visa Direct Outbound that enables Sacombank Visa Debit cardholders to transfer money to Visa cards issued by any overseas bank at competitive rates.

Most recently, the bank received the Sao Khue Award for Tap to Phone technology.

The technology helps address customers' concerns about making physical contact amid COVID-19 and reduces transaction time.
