Saigon Alcohol Beer and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (SABECO) has partnered with the Viet Nam Youth Federation to officially launch 'Community Care', a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme to help healthcare workers on the front line and affected communities in the fight against COVID-19.

'Community Care' started on Thursday in HCM City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Can Tho and Khanh Hoa as well as in more isolated areas such as Tay Ninh, Vung Tau and Soc Trang. The programme is expected to end on 26 August.

The programme includes the donation of seven anti-invasive and non-invasive ventilators; 65,000 N95 medical masks and 4-piece protective gear; 35,500 hand-sanitiser bottles and 20,000 boxes of purified water to support frontliners during this critical time.

In response to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s call for social security packages to disadvantaged households, SABECO and the Viet Nam Youth Federation (VYF) Central committee helped deliver and distribute 5,000 essential packages with a total value of VND2 billion to 5,000 affected families in quarantine zones in eight cities in partnership with MM Mega Market, VYF’s member and local youth. The total contribution of medical equipment and packages is valued at VND10 billion.
