Cao Bang hopes to co-ordinate with the Agerina technology group from South Korea in building wholesale markets and introducing the province’s products to Korean shopping centres and supermarkets.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Lai Xuan Mon, delivered the message during a meeting with a delegation from the group last week. The group’s visit aimed to seek co-operation opportunities in agriculture development with the locality.
During the event, Mon briefed the guests on the locality’s potential for agricultural development, saying that Cao Bang boasted many high quality products such as rice, maize, potato, cassava, tangerine, chestnut, sugar-cane and beef.
He called on the firm to provide technical assistance for the locality in producing and preserving farm products, as well as in training human resources in the field.
For his part, president of Agerina, Im Bi-ung Min, spoke highly of Cao Bang’s agricultural potential, expressing his hope that the two sides would effectively co-ordinate in the future, contributing to introducing the locality’s farm products to Korean consumers.
He called on the province to apply advanced technologies in agricultural production to create safe, high-quality and high-value products, towards further promoting the sector. — VNS
