La Vie Natural Mineral Water, a Nestle Group subsidiary, and Decathlon, a French sporting goods retailer, have launched a programme to encourage people to bring used plastic bottles that will be recycled into shirts.

‘Green Activ’ Challenge seeks to bring about a second life cycle for plastic bottles, contributing to environmental protection.

Participants completing 8km of running, cycling or swimming and collecting eight used plastic bottles can take them to Decathlon stores to claim a reward, including a limited edition T-shirt made from recycled plastic bottles for the first 6,000 to register.

Through the programme, the businesses also want to convey the message that plastic bottles, when properly classified and collected, can become new products.

Detailed Information about the Green Activ Challenge is available on the fan page of La Vie and Decathlon and people can register to participate from now until October 9.

The progamme, which also has the participation of Hop Thanh recycling factory and TNG factory, is aimed at celebrating World Clean Up Day. — VNS
