Park Hyatt Saigon has appointed Adrien Guenzi as the new chef de cuisine for its Square One - French Kitchen with the ambition to bring the world of French gastronomy to the diner’s table in Saigon.

Originally from Lyon of France, chef Adrien fell in love with cooking in early childhood, fascinated by all the preparation of his family gatherings. Growing up, he knew the best way to satisfy his love for food was to learn from the masters.

Throughout his journey, he has worked with great chefs including Emmanuel Renault, a French, 3-star Michelin chef, and the world-renowned chef Pierre Gagnaire, both of whom sharpened Adrien’s passion for food and influenced his culinary style.

With a rich portfolio of knowledge and experience from working with the world’s top Michelin chefs, Adrien has now joined Park Hyatt Saigon and runs the Square One - French Kitchen.

“I can’t wait to showcase the diversity of French gastronomy through innovative yet truly authentic dishes. As one of our core values in French cooking, meals are viewed as an opportunity to connect and spend time with the ones you love,” said Adrien.

Frederic Boulin, the hotel’s general manager, said that he strongly believes that Adrien will add his specialties to their ambition to constantly elevate modern Viet Nam’s dining scene.

An alluring destination for French-Vietnamese culinary arts, Square One combines the history, nature and thrilling culinary adventure of French and Vietnamese cultures to bring guests a truly unique dining experience in the heart of Saigon.

For its recent efforts, Park Hyatt Saigon has been honoured as one of the best hotels in Asia by readers taking part in Travel + Leisure magazine’s list of top 500 hotels of 2021.

Acclaimed as the top-tier travel publication covering reviews, news, guides and tips, Travel + Leisure is well-known as one of the most popular travel publications in the world. Drawing on the results of its 2020 World’s Best Awards survey, it recognised the 500 best hotels last week.

“This marvellous recognition is truly the greatest encouragement that will push us to continue becoming a safe haven and the ultimate luxury comfort spot of Asia,” the hotel’s general manager said. “We will continue our efforts to ensure all our guests have a comfortable and exceptional experience.” — VNS
