Nestlé Vietnam has launched new NAN SUPREME 3 formula products with two human milk oligosaccharides, 2’FL & LNnT.

These HMOs account for nearly 40 per cent of the total number of HMOs in breast milk.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that babies should be breastfed exclusively for the first six months and after those mothers should introduce supplementary (solid) foods while continuing to breastfeed up to at least two years of age.

The essence of HMO is the oligosaccharides containing lactose cores with unique structures found only in breast milk.

HMOs have been scientifically proven to improve children's immunity, the most prominent of them being 2'FL and LNnT, Nestle said in a release.

The European Food Safety Authority and the US Food and Drug Administration have certified that Nestlé's addition of 2'-FL and LNnT to infant nutrition products, including infant formulas and follow-up formulas, is safe. VNS
